For more information click here Applications close April 20th 2012The City of Selah is a strong Mayor form of government. We have a population of 6,935 as of 2007 and are located in Central Washington State. We are the Gateway to the Yakima River Canyon.
The position of City Administrator is to supervise all Department Directors and advise the Mayor and City Council on all City issues and financial matters of the City. The City Administrator is appointed by the Mayor.
The City Administrator advises on policy changes where needed to improve our City. In addition to the duties as City Administrator, this position also performs the function of the Human Resource Director and negotiator for the City with the Teamsters Union that represents the Police, Public Works and Parks employees.
We are a full service City, providing police, fire, water, sewer, solid waste, community planning, and parks & recreation services to our citizens as well as to other non-city residents.
