Selah Police Explorer Post 511

Post History:
The idea for a Law Enforcement Explorer post was born in August 2003 when Jack O’Dell and I began looking into the benefits of sponsoring such a group. After years of research and presenting the idea to the City Council and various civic groups, Explorer Post 511 was born in April of 2006. Post 511 was officially presented to Mayor Bob Jones and the City Council on May 2nd 2006 during a council meeting. The Explorer Post made its official debut to the community during Selah Community Days in May 2006. Members of the Explorer Post attend regular post meetings, receive in-service training and participate in various community events and fund raisers throughout the year.
