Challenge Coin

The Selah Police Department commissioned their Challenge Coin in 2006.   The front of the coin shows the Badge we all wear while performing our duties.  The apple in the center of the badge represents the City of Selah’s Logo and a major agriculture product of the area.  The United States flag simply represents our allegiance to the United States of America and it’s laws.  And lastly the City of Selah was established in 1919.

The back of the coin shows our current shoulder patch in its tactical colors.  The patch shows the City of Selah’s Apple Logo.  The outer ring of the coin contains the badge numbers of each officer protecting the citizen’s of Selah.  The inner ring contains a Latin phrase, which is our motto, meaning, “While we have breath, we will defend”.
